Today we observe the International Day of Human Fraternity,
when we reflect on the importance of religious and cultural understanding, and
mutual respect, in the name of harmony
and solidarity.
The day commemorates the historical signing of the
declaration “Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together”, co-authored
by His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh
Ahmed El Tayeb.
