God gets at us in the funniest of ways. Just this week the Spirit stirred in me while reading an interview with one of my heroes, Vandana Shiva. The reporter from YES! Magazine asked her:

There is hardly a town or city in this country that doesn’t have a statue of the Mahatma. But in terms of his relevance, when you travel around and talk to people, is the Gandhian philosophy still living or is it more of a memory?

Yet with amazing clarity, a still small voice whispered through these words to me: There is hardly a town or city that doesn’t have a statue of the Christ. But in terms of his relevance, when you travel around and talk to people, is the Way of Jesus still living or is it more of a memory?
